Up until July 2008, the software guides available on this website were written by Chorlton Workshop for a computer class held at Henshaws society for blind people (hsbp). Chorlton Workshop closed in July 2008, and the site is now maintained independently of these organisations.

Chorlton Workshop was an community based adult education centre, based in Manchester, UK. It aimed to provide a first step into education/training for unwaged adults who had been disadvantaged or discriminated against and had not previously had access to educational opportunities.
hsbp operates out of centres in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, North Yorkshire and the North East, providing a range of educational, residential, day care and community services in response to the needs of blind and visually impaired people of all ages.
