A guide for Jaws users, written by Chorlton Workshop for

Introduction
This is a guide for the program Accessible BBC Listen Again,
version 2.4, which can be downloaded at:
www.webbie.org.uk/accessiblebbc/.
The program Accessible BBC Listen Again is an
alternative to the BBC radio player for listening to radio programs
which are available for listening to again. This program
is alot easier to use than the BBC radio player, if you're using
a screen reader.
Main Window
The main window contains the following components:
- Title bar. If a programme is playing, the title bar
contains the name of the program, else the content of the
title bar is just “Accessible BBC Listen Again”.
To read the title bar, press INSERT + T.
- Menu bar.
- Programmes list box. This contains a selection of programs
that are available for listening to again. The selection is
either by radio station or type of programme, and the selection
can be changed by using the Station, Speech, and Music menus
which are on the menu bar.
- Audio controls. There are Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind and
Forward buttons, and a Volume slider. Warning: because SPACEBAR
is used as a shortcut for pausing the player, you can only use
ENTER to press the buttons.
- Status bar, which contains the status of the player. Values
for the status include Playing, Stopped, and Paused. When the
status is Playing, both the duration played so far and the total
duration of the programme are also given. To read the status bar,
press INSERT + PAGE DOWN.
Moving around the window
- As in any window, to move to the menu bar,
press ALT, and to leave it,
press ESC.
- You can TAB around the following components:
Programmes list box, the Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind and Forward buttons,
and Volume slider.
Playing a programme
To play a programme, move to the Programmes list box, select a programme, and
press ENTER. In the Programmes list box you can use
the usual ways to navigate list boxes: UP and DOWN ARROWS,

of the item you're looking for.

- To stop the program, press the Stop button,
or press ESC.
- To pause and restart a programme, press the Pause button,

or Forward button respectively.

and PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN for larger changes.
