Introduction
This guide describes how to navigate the Talking Newspaper
Association of the United Kingdom (TNAUK) website, which can be
found at www.tnauk.org.uk.
TNAUK provides national newspapers and magazines in accessible
formats for the blind, partially sighted, and others for whom
print is not an accessible medium. The following formats are
available:
- Audio tape.
- Audio CD.
- Electronic text via cd-rom, e-mail, and internet download.
The remaining sections of the guide are as follows:
- Page structure. An outline of the page structure on this website.
- A navigation example. How to get to the Digital Service sub-section
of the Publications section.
Page structure
The page title of the home page is “Welcome to Talking
Newspapers”. The page titles of the other pages are either
“Talking Newspapers - section name” or “talking
newspapers - sub-section name”.
This is the overall structure of the pages on the TNAUK website:
- Banner across the top, which contains the text TNAUK,
Talking Newspaper Association of the United Kindgom.
- Skip to page contents link. This has inconsistent behaviour:
on the home page, it takes you to the section name; on other pages
it takes you to the local navigation.
- Global navigation, which is a series of links. This lets you
navigate to the main sections of the website.
- The section name, which is a level 2 heading.
- Local navigation, which is a series of links. This lets you
navigate to the sub-sections of the section.
- Main Content. A sub-section name, which is a level 2 heading,
followed by content.
- Page body link, which is a link to the main content.
- Local Navigation link.
- Global Navigation link.
Note that on the Home page, both the Local navigation, and the Page body, Local Navigation,
and Global Navigation links are absent.

and then press TAB till you get to the Home

which is the second heading on the page.
