The Jaws guide to Audacity has been updated for version 2.0.5 of this free multi-track audio editor. One of the recent new features which is available if you’re using Windows Vista or later, is that using the WASAPI audio interface you can record the audio being sent to a playback device even if your sound card doesn’t support “Stereo Mix”.

There are three new Jaws guides for Windows 8:

• Start screen guide
• Search pane guide – which is also known as the Search charm.
• Taskbar guide – which covers the taskbar buttons and the notification area.

There’s a new Jaws guide to File Explorer on Windows 8. It includes a detailed description of how to use the ribbon.
